Mercenary - The Return is a Polish first-person shooter game released in 1993 by Krysal sp. z o.o. The game was developed by Laboratorium Komputerowe APM, with Tomasz Łuszcz responsible for graphics and music, and Artur Marecki handling programming.
In the game, players take on the role of a mercenary. Before each mission, they can visit a weapon shop, shooting range, and casino. Successful missions reward the mercenary with payment, which can be spent on equipment or gambling in the casino. The weapon shop offers a bulletproof vest and five types of weapons: a COLT pistol, a shotgun, a Uzi submachine gun, a rocket launcher, and grenades. To proceed with missions, the player must first pass a shooting range test.
The game takes place on a single map, where the objective is to eliminate enemies while avoiding energy depletion. It was available for platforms such as the Atari 65XE and Commodore 64.
